SpeakFix uses your own API keys to power its AI features. Both Gemini and Groq offer free tiers, so you can start without paying.
1Get your Gemini API key (Google)
- Go to aistudio.google.com/apikey
- Sign in with your Google account.
- Open API Keys.
- Click Create API key.
- Name the key.
- Pick a Default Gemini Project, or let it create a new one for you.
- Click Copy key. It usually starts with

2Get your Groq API key
- Go to console.groq.com/keys
- Sign in with your Google account.
- Open API Keys.
- Click Create API key.
- Name the key.
- Copy the key right away. It usually starts with
gsk_... and Groq only shows it once. If you lose it, delete it and create a new one.

3Save the keys in SpeakFix
- Scroll down to the provider cards below this guide (Google Gemini and Groq).
- Paste your Gemini key into the Google Gemini card, then click Save.
- Paste your Groq key into the Groq card, then click Save.
- Click Use this on the provider you want to chat with. The button changes to Active. SpeakFix uses one provider at a time, and you can switch any time.
- Test it by running a short practice session. If it works, you’re done.
